I was with my wife traveling to Italy in July 2016 and we had the opportunity to visit Firenze. Firenze itself already a museum, is alive past and well maintained. Being in Florence is breathing art, music, culture and history. In a place like this, there are numerous museums, galleries, exhibitions that it is difficult to decide which one to visit.
However, there is obligatory visiting the Gallery of the Academy of Firenze or “Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze” and let us contemplate the numerous arts collections of the Renaissance.
It is the home of Michelangelo’s sculpture David; in addition to sculptures and paintings, there is also an exclusive salon for music, on display some Stradivarius violins and violas. There are so many items to be seen, but the David statue is a great attraction, a sculpture of 5 meters carved in Carrara marble. Below are some photos of the Gallery. Thanks and Valew Valew 😉
